Croydon College is one of London’s largest further education institutions, providing courses to over 8,000 students. Having just completed major refurbishment, the College needed a brand identity to reflect its recent transformation. Formed from the double C of the institution’s initials, the logo acts as a copyright symbol to align the College with different aspirational concepts. 
We were also asked to create a new aligned identity to support the relaunch of Croydon School of Art. Inspired by the School’s impressive artistic heritage; the School counts Malcolm McLaren and Jamie Reid among its alumni, whilst past tutors have included Derek Boshier and Bridget Riley. The tear concept reflects the creative process and acts as a flexible device with which to combine and reveal layers of colour, pattern and imagery.
